Alpha Wire Multi Conductor 150/600V PVC Insulation Ribbon Cable

Alpha Wires are designed to distribute more current than the harnesses of same wire gauge. They provide varieties of same wire gauges. Multi Conductor Ribbon Cable is designed to distribute 600 volts. This cable has an operational temperature range of -200C to 1050C. It is made of copper conductors for maximum performance. The Alpha Ribbon Cable is insulated with a polyvinyl chloride.

Conductor:

The alpha Wire Ribbon conductor is made of copper. Copper is preferred for this cable because of its high efficiency in transmission, malleability, flexibility and availability as compared to other viable conductors. The copper is annealed and tinned to improve its ductility and durability. Annealing the process of heating a conductor and letting it cool slowly to reconfigure the material properties in a bid to make the conductor malleable, easy to terminate and flexible. The thin film of tin coats the surfaces of the conductors to make them smooth and oxidative resistant. Smooth Alpha Wire conductors can therefore withstand friction build ups. Tinned conductors are corrosive resistant to industrial chemicals.

Insulation:

The insulation is made of Polyvinyl Chloride insulation. PVC is a non-conducting material which bars the flow of current from the conductor to the user. It therefore protects the user from electric shocks during installation. PVC also creates a barrier between the conductors to prevent short-circuiting. The PVC insulation is color coded for easy identification during installation. This tough polyvinyl chloride offers chemical and mechanical protection to Alpha Ribbon Cable, hence optimizing its service life. The cable is also easy to route and separate within the circuit for termination.
