Description
500 MCM THHN/THWN-2 stranded copper wire is rated for THHN (thermoplastic high heat-resistant nylon, dry) and THWN-2 (wet) applications. The "W" indicates water resistance, making it ideal for damp and wet environments when installed in conduit. Supporting up to 600 volts, this wire operates at temperatures up to 90°C. With a flame-retardant PVC jacket that resists sunlight, moisture, and chemicals, it ensures durability in demanding environments. Commonly used in industrial, commercial, and large-scale power distribution, this wire is available in lengths of 25 ft, 50 ft, 100 ft, 250 ft, and 500 ft, as well as by the foot for custom lengths.
What are the Applications of 500 MCM THHN Wire?
-
Service Entrance Wires: Powering large industrial and commercial facilities.
-
Main Feeder Wires: Delivering power to major subpanels and distribution systems.
-
Heavy-Duty HVAC Systems: Supporting large-scale heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
-
Industrial Equipment: Supplying high-current production lines and heavy machinery.
-
