Applications:

12/2-2 NM-B copper building wire is used in residential branch circuits where two independent 20-amp circuits must run in the same cable. It includes two hot and two neutral conductors, plus a bare ground, making it ideal for duplex receptacles with separate breakers, or for minimizing cable clutter when powering different loads from the same location.

This cable is rated for 600 volts and designed for dry indoor use in environments up to 90°C. It can also be installed in air voids within tile walls, as permitted by NEC Article 334. Like other NM-B cables, 12 2 2 Romex is built for easy pulling, making installation faster and more efficient.
