The 112-37-8006 is a 8 AWG, single-conductor photovoltaic wire featuring a 7-strand bare copper design, which enhances flexibility and conductivity. It is insulated with Okonite's X-Olene compound, which is UV-resistant and rated for up to 90°C in operating temperature and 600V in electrical voltage. Application:

• X-Olene UV Type PV insulated wire can be used in all raceway, direct burial and cable wiring methods as permitted by the NEC specifically listed for use on PV arrays, and wiring as part of a listed system shall be permitted. X-Olene UV PV wire is rated 90°C Wet or Dry

Standards:

•  UL 4703: This standard covers photovoltaic wires designed to be used at voltages up to 2000V and temperatures up to 90°C in wet or dry conditions, confirming its suitability for solar panel applications.
•  IEEE 1202: Ensures that the cable meets flame test requirements of electric power stations or similar conditions.
•  ASTM Standards: Includes specifications for copper conductors, ensuring the wire's performance and durability under electrical stresses.

Construction:

• Conductor: The conductor shall be of soft annealed uncoated copper or aluminum Class B stranding. Copper conductors sizes 14-10 AWG shall be compressed per ASTM B-8 and sizes 8-1000 kcmil shall be compact per ASTM B-496. Aluminum conductors shall be alloy 8000 series compressed per ASTM B-800.
• Insulation: Meets or exceeds electrical and physical requirements of UL 4703 and UL 44, as applicable.
