The project is expected to begin full professional operation in the last quarter of 2022. It is remarkable for being one of the largest solar projects in the entire country, including the operating projects today. The facility will be able to power as many as 83,500 homes in New Mexico. This is a 300 MW solar project.

This is one of the top 5 largest solar plants in the United States under construction and the largest solar project in Texas. Unlike Arroyo, Aktina Solar Project is a 500 MW project. The plant area is 4000 acres. The project is in close proximity to a metropolitan area, namely, the city of Houston. It is expected to power 100000 homes in Texas.

This Nevadian project has the largest capacity among upcoming competitors at 690MW. Another thing that differs is that it is to be situated on federal lands right near Las Vegas, namely 53 kilometers away from it. The project positions itself to be not only the largest project of its kind in the United States but globally as well.

The project will be focused on capacity firming and solar energy time shift. While The Dodge Flat Solar Energy Center is strictly a solar initiative, the company behind it also develops other kinds of alternative energy, such as wind and nuclear energy.

The capacity of Lund Hill is 193 MW. The area of the upcoming plant is close to 1,800 acres.
