Coaxial Cable
A coaxial cable is a signal-transmission copper cable with plastic insulation, copper shielding, and plastic coating. It is a durable communication cable that runs long distances and is well- protected from EMI and cross-talk.
Coax cables are used to transmit video signals, in CATV, HDTV, and CCTV, in radio antennas, and for Ethernet, though the latter is becoming less and less frequent as other types of cables replace coax. The name of the coax cable starts with "RG." Common types of this cable are RG58, RG58, RG6, and RG11.
